How to create an instrument reservation

This pages describes how to create an instrument reservation.
This can be done through the header menu as shown in the figure 1.

Instrument reservation screen aggregates reservations belonging to two week interval statrting the prior Sunday and includes all instruments. To create a new reservation an empty cell must be clicked. Each colour in the aggregated view corresponds to a state explained in the following list:
  • Dusty Gray: MAINTENANCE
  • Mine Shaft ( or black ) : NON-BOOKABLE
  • International Klein Blue ( or blue ) : NON-CHARGEABLE
  • Red: NOT-CHARGED
  • Japanese Laurel ( or green ) : CHARGED
A typical instrument reservation screen is shown in figure 3 where weekly view - starting on Monday - is chosen by default.

Because of the default Instrument Reservation Setting only two time slots (from 00:00 to 12:00 and from 12:00 to 24:00) are available (Figure 4).

Figure 5 shows an example of highly configured instrument reservation where the earliest and the latest possible reservation are respectively after 08:00 and before 17:00 and week-end days are not shown as they are disallowed for the instrument.

To get a better understanding of how an instrument reservation can be configured it could be useful to see the current setting of the concerned instrument. To this end, click on the link on top of the scheduler where the name of the instrument is written as shown in figure 6.

Then select Instrument Reservation Settings in the details screen of the instrument as shown in figure 7.

In figure 8 there is only one setting. The last setting corresponds always to the current setting for an instrument.
It is also possible to choose an older setting if there are many of them.

Repeating Instrument Reservation

Instrument Reservations can in general be repeated. The repetition is only possible one week after the start of the reservation. To this end the Repeat field must be set to YES as reflect in figure 9.
