Storage registration

Navigate to Admin / Application Data / Storages and press the "Create New" button. Fill the form and save it.

Access

A storage consists of one or more accesses.
The access type "dm" is used by the download manager.

Storage update

depending on the scenario of a storage update there are multiple decisions to take

Storage is moved to new location

• storage can only be updated if none (import)resource is associated with the storage
• if an (import)resource is associated with the storage, you have to decide:

Change resource path

• all pathes in all resources belonging to the storage are updated.

Change importresource path

• all pathes in all importresources belonging to the storage are updated.

Change weblink

• all weblinks of all resources belonging to the storage are updated.

Some resources are moved to a new storage

• register the new storage in b-fabric
• the storage supervisor can use the resource save webservice to update the locations in all resources that moved

New storage for new resources

• register new storage
• change the applications to use the new storage
