The B-Fabric Download Manager requires Java Web Start (javaws) to run the JNLP (Java Network Launching Protocol) file that B-Fabric generates for the download. Until Java Version 8, javaws was part of the Java installation. With Java 9, javaws was deprecated. So, please make sure that javaws is installed on your computer. You might use Java Iced-Tea-Web or for Windows the Fabric Download Manager Helper below, which is pre-packed executable that includes javaws.

OpenWebStart

• Windows, MacOS and Linux
• Java Download Manager can be used with OpenWebStart with any version of Java: Install OpenWebStart
  • can be installed and used without administrative rights on Windows.
  • Java is downloaded on first start and installed in the OpenWebStart directory.

Java Iced-Tea-Web

• Windows and Linux
• Java Download Manager can be used with Iced-Tea-Web with any version of Java: Install and Download IcedTea-Web
  • uses an already installed Java

B-Fabric Download Manager Helper

• BFabric Download for Windows 64bit

MacOS

• download the dmg file for your Mac architecture and install it as usual.
• you can use brew to install OpenWebStart
